Our client is currently seeking a Development Construction Manager to oversee all preconstruction, construction, and post-construction activities for assigned development projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards through close coordination with internal teams, contractors, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of construction or real estate development project management experience
  • Proficient skills in financial, budgeting, and cost control
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, MS Project, AutoCAD, Procore, and cost accounting software (Viewpoint preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and schedules
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and travel to project sites as required

Responsibilities

  • Review civil, building, and permit drawings; provide coordination and value‑engineering input
  • Review and negotiate GMP bids; support contract finalization
  • Assist with master schedules, permits, and approvals
  • Oversee General Contractor performance throughout construction
  • Review schedules, change orders, weather delays, pay applications, and budgets
  • Participate in weekly coordination calls; conduct quarterly site visits and reports
  • Manage closeout activities including punch lists, final documentation, lien waivers, and retainage release
