Job Description

Responsibilities

• Create new, and customize existing ERP programs on the Progress OpenEdge ABL platform
• • Translate functional requirements into technical specifications, designing software solutions to meet business needs
  • Develop integrations between locally-hosted ERP instance and 3^rd party applications via API, flat file transfer
  • Assist in data migration elements of ERP conversions
  • Provide on-going application support in the areas of both end-user problem resolution and data access/security
  • Analytical and problem solving skills - support user applications and help troubleshoot problems
• Design and implement BI solutions using Microsoft SQL Server tools (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS)
• • Develop and maintain ETL procedures using dimensional modeling for data warehousing
  • Develop and execute ad hoc database queries, conduct analysis, and effectively communicate insights
  • Create visualizations and reports to meet business analytics requirements
  • Cultivate an intimate familiarity with ERP data and functions to recommend and promote new analysis
• Plan and organize multiple concurrent tasks, report on project progress, coordinate with additional development resources
• Ensure integrity, reliability and validity in software solutions delivered
• Provide occasional 24/7 support of specific functions. 
• Minimal travel, up to 5%, may be required.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Knowledge & Experience

• 4+ years experience in planning and execution of the software development lifecycle.
• 2+ years experience in design, analysis, development, coding, unit testing, debug and documentation for complex systems including business services, batch applications, large/complex products. 
• 2+ years experience in Progress OpenEdge Advanced Business Language development.
• 2+ years experience in T-SQL development/administration, preferably ETL procedure development across disparate platforms
• 2+ years experience in SSRS development, preferably SQL 2014 and later with mobile report development experience (Microsoft Power BI a plus)
• Familiarity with Linux OS, Shell Scripting, UNIX/AIX, .NET, HTML, XML, JavaScript, and any Web Technologies
• Manufacturing ERP experience, specifically QAD, would be a big plus
