Our client is currently seeking a qualified Desktop Support Technician to join their team onsite in Richmond, VA and provide end-user support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals
+ Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems
+ Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups
+ Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed
+ Resolves network connection issues, track network connections back to network switches
+ Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support if unable to resolve
+ Represents the company in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates
+ Interacts with customers, responding to routine technical questions or requests for information
Skills and Qualifications:
+ Minimum 3 to 6+ years of experience supporting PC Hardware and software
+ Comfortability providing hands and feet support for Server and Network is a plus
+ Experience supporting mobile data plans, mobile networks, and devices is a plus
+ Minimum 3+ years of Deskside Support experience
+ ServiceNow or similar ticketing system experience
+ Hardware and software support experience
+ Customer Facing experience
+ Able to train quickly on procedures and should have good IT knowledge base
+ Basic network troubleshooting skills
+ Able to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment with strong personalities, and detail oriented
+ CompTIA A+ certification preferred but not required
Wage Range :
The rate for this position is between $18.75 - $27.50 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
