Your Role
As a result of a diverse Lifestyle client base and increasing project work with Clients throughout the Lifestyle sector, we are searching for a Designer with an interest in interiors to join our team in Seattle.
As a GenslerDesigner, your job will be to combine creativity and technical knowledge to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You have exceptional design skills, a background in interiors or architecture, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts. You will collaborate with our broader design team to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to translate an architect's sketches and documents into realized2D/3Dmodels and images, and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. What You Will Do
Collaborate on projects to hone your skills in programming, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
Brainstorm interior architecture approaches to meet the Clients' needs
Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
Collaborate within our team structure to deliver the best work for our Clients
Partner with product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators to develop a knowledge of finishes and furniture
Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school
2-5 years of interior design project experience
Outstanding graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas throughout the process. Portfolios should include well organized examples of design work during school as well as relevant finish palates, test fitting, working visualizations, and design documentation completed during internships or previous positions
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), SketchUp, and Revit highly preferred
Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices

**The base salary will be estimated between $72,000 - $82,000 annually plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
