Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products, components, and systems for manufacturing.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings according to industry standards.
• Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate design integrity and performance.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to optimize product function, cost, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product realization.
• Develop and implement design modifications for existing products to improve performance, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities to ensure designs meet specified requirements.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, specifications, and design reports.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor) for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Demonstrated ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards and interpret engineering drawings.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of various engineering materials and their properties, with experience in material selection for specific applications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with FEA or CFD simulation tools.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or workshop tools.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming for design automation (e.g., Python, VBA).
