Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products or enhance existing designs using CAD software.
• Create detailed 2D engineering drawings, 3D models, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) analyses.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for optimal performance and cost.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launch.
• Analyze and resolve design-related issues during production and field use.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) and FEA simulation tools.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or design for manufacturing (DFM) within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication) and material properties.
• Demonstrated experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of designs.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to solve complex design challenges and optimize products for manufacturability and cost.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with FEA/CFD simulation software.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, or assembly.
• Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
