Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine mechanical designs for new and existing products and components.
- Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and Bills of Material (BOMs) using CAD software.
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
- Conduct design validation through analysis (e.g., FEA) and prototype testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
- Investigate and resolve design-related issues encountered during production.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) for part and assembly design.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, casting, welding) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
- Knowledge of material properties, selection, and application for various industrial environments.
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) for precise component specification and communication.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations, simulations (e.g., FEA), and design analysis to validate concepts.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with advanced simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) beyond basic analysis.
- Hands-on prototyping, testing, or assembly experience.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming for design automation or data analysis.
