Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mechanical designs for new and existing products.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings.
• Perform design calculations and simulations to validate product performance and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production processes (DFM/DFA).
• Select and specify appropriate materials and components for design applications.
• Support the prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications and BOMs.
• Troubleshoot design-related issues during production and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) for modeling, assembly, and drafting.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, additive manufacturing).
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Knowledge of material selection, properties, and their application in manufacturing environments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).
• Demonstrated understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, machining, or assembly processes.
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
