Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Conduct design analysis, including FEA, stress analysis, and tolerance stack-ups.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless design implementation.
• Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) and technical documentation.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new and revised product designs.
• Identify and implement design improvements to resolve production issues or enhance product quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo).
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material science, and stress analysis.
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, casting).
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, or workshop tools.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
