Are you passionate about creating impactful engineering designs and advancing manufacturing processes? System One is partnering with our client and seeking a talented Design Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge RT and Data Center products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical skills, collaborate across departments, and grow your career in a dynamic, safety-conscious environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development: Utilize Autodesk Inventor to create detailed 3D component models, assemblies, and comprehensive 2D drawings that meet precise customer, vendor, and internal specifications.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Assist in designing and building prototype parts and systems, supporting testing and troubleshooting efforts to refine final products.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and vendor teams to discuss new and revised designs, ensuring seamless integration into production.
  • Documentation & Standards: Maintain strict adherence to drafting standards, generate accurate work instructions, and update Bills of Materials within the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline design and production processes, and take initiative to implement enhancements.
  • Quality & Safety: Uphold commitment to safety and quality standards, ensuring all products meet the company's high standards of excellence.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing environments, particularly involving heat exchangers or similar processes.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent CAD software), with familiarity in Inventor Vault and iLogic preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, materials, and mechanical design practices.
  • Knowledge of brazing, welding, CNC, and PLC systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including handling objects up to 50 pounds, with accommodations available as needed.
