Salary Range: $71,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine product designs, components, and assemblies using CAD software.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Conduct design analysis, simulations, and prototyping to validate concepts and performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for optimal cost, performance, and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve design-related issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for 3D modeling and drafting.
• Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material science, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Experience with various manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, casting, or fabrication.
• Ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles for component design and analysis.
• Proven problem-solving skills with an analytical approach to design challenges and optimization.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (FEA, CFD).
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or assembly.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
