Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative product designs and engineering solutions using CAD software.
- Perform detailed engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and tolerance stack-ups, to validate designs.
- Create comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs) for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for production efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and assembly (DFM/DFA).
- Support the prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs, iterating based on performance data and feedback.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to meet product requirements and industry standards.
- Investigate and resolve design-related issues, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvements.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
- Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Knowledge of material properties and selection for various applications.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or other simulation software beyond basic CAD.
- Familiarity with CAM software or tooling design principles.
- Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Certifications in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, or lab testing.
