Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings in accordance with industry standards.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on design requirements, cost, and production capabilities.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate design integrity and functionality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, production, quality, and supply chain teams.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities to ensure designs meet specified requirements.
- Identify and implement design improvements to enhance product reliability, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) for modeling and drafting
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication)
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
- Knowledge of engineering materials and their selection for specific applications
Bonus Qualifications
- Expertise with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD beyond basic CAD tools).
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or assembly in a manufacturing environment.
- Certification or strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Specialized knowledge in specific manufacturing processes such as injection molding, additive manufacturing, or precision machining.
