Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize product designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Conduct engineering analysis (FEA, CFD) and simulations to validate design performance and integrity.
- Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs) for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable (DFM) and cost-effective.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on design requirements and cost targets.
- Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation of new products and design changes.
- Identify and resolve design-related issues, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvements.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) and PDM systems.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication) and material selection.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative product designs from concept to production.
- Experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of designs.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with FEA/CFD software for design validation.
- Demonstrated understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles across various processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, welding).
- Hands-on prototyping, testing, or shop floor experience.
- Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
