Our Client, an EV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Design Engineer 5 for their Casa Grande, AZ location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
  • Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.
 
Requirements:
  • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. Team player and detail oriented.
  • Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports. Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
  • BS in Engineering degree (BSME or similar) is required to be eligible for this role.
  • 10+ years’ experience required.
  • Relevant certifications and accreditations required as appropriate for the role.
  • Minimum 3 + years’ experience with Airbag Design
  • Minimum 1 + years’ experience with Curtain Airbag Design
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience with OEM and/or Tier 1 suppliers
  • Engineering judgment rather than engineering decisions.
  • Maintain development history rather than making spot decisions.
  • Willing to expose your work, rather than working in isolation.
