Description:
• Seeking a skilled professional to provide preventative dental care and assist in treatment planning.
• Located in New Haven, CT, this full-time position requires on-site work and encompasses various duties related to dental hygiene, patient education, and operational tasks.
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
• Current Connecticut registered dental hygiene license
• Dental hygiene local anesthesia certificate preferred
• Current CPR certification
• One year experience as a dental hygienist preferred
• Familiarity with dental billing and coding procedures
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Key Responsibilities:
• Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene
• Provide preventative dental care to children and adults
• Apply fluorides and cavity-preventing agents with dentist oversight
• Maintain and sterilize dental instruments
• Adhere to OHSA and HIPAA compliance policies
• Collaborate on operational tasks and quality improvement initiatives
• Complete required trainings and other tasks as assigned
