Job Details
We are seeking a Dental Hygiene Instructor to educate, mentor, and prepare students for successful careers in dental hygiene. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction while supporting student development, academic success, and professional readiness.
The ideal candidate brings strong clinical experience, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to fostering a positive, engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging didactic and/or clinical instruction in dental hygiene coursework
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives and accreditation standards
- Supervise students in lab and clinical settings, ensuring patient safety and best practices
- Evaluate student performance through exams, competencies, and clinical assessments
- Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and constructive feedback to students
- Maintain accurate academic records and documentation
- Collaborate with faculty and campus leadership to support program outcomes and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Active Dental Hygiene license (state-appropriate or eligible)
- Associate’s degree or higher in Dental Hygiene (Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred)
- Prior teaching, precepting, or clinical training experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for education and student success
