Our busy dental practice is growing, and we need someone who can provide high-quality dental services to clients and assist our dentist and dental hygienists with examinations and dental procedures. Our ideal candidate has 2 or more years of dental practice experience, a current CDA/ RDA license, and excellent customer service, organization, and communication skills. Minimum 2 years of working experience as a dental assistant required.
Hours:
- Monday 9 am -6 pm
- Tuesday 10 am -7 pm
- Wednesday 9 am -6 pm
- Thursday 9 am - 4 pm
- Friday 9 am-6 pm
- Once a month third Saturday 8 am-3 pm, will alternate closing with Thursday
- 1-hour lunch on weekdays
$20 - $24 hourly
Responsibilities:- Provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients’ teeth and gums after procedures, answer any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and schedule appointments for patient care follow up
- Greet patients and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during the appointment
- Take and document vital signs and medical history for patient records
- Support dentists and dental hygienists by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team during procedures or examinations
- Ensure dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use
- Take X-rays, maintain supply inventories, and keep the cleanliness of the dental office
- Experience with dental software, updating patient histories, and computer skills are needed
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer service, organization, and excellent communication skills are essential
- Must possess a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certificate or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) state licensure by the Dental Assisting National Board's (DANB)
- An Associate’s Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required
- Current BLS/CPR certification is required
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience as a registered dental assistant or certified dental assistant
