Specialist. The purpose of this position is to provide education and
support to individuals and families dealing with dementia and provides
community education and awareness regarding dementia. Provides outreach
to the community through presentations, speaking events, virtual
dementia tours, memory screens, and memory cafes. Collaborates with
Information & Assistance staff in the identification of individuals and
families dealing with dementia Works with individuals and families
dealing with dementia to understand the disease, provide encouragement
to seek medical attention, and begin planning for management of
dementia. Provides support and resources to caregivers of individuals
dealing with dementia. Helps to identify resources to assist in managing
the role of caregiver, including promoting support groups for
caregivers. Other duties as assigned. * OTHER EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's Degree in social work or closely related
field is required. A valid Wisconsin Driver's License is also required.
