JOB SUMMARY
*The Delivery Driver transports orders over designated routes, ensures the safe operation of vehicles, loads and unloads orders, ensures specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct, verifies stock and identifies losses, and checks the basic operational conditions of assigned vehicles and equipment.*
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
*All positions require selected candidates to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a criminal background check.* Additional minimum required qualifications for this position are:
1. High school or equivalent
2. Valid Driver's license and evidence of insurability
3. Ability to operate and maintain warehouse and delivery equipment and vehicles (e.g. large truck with lift gate, pallet jacks, forklift, etc.) and follow applicable legal statutes
4. Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
6. Speak, read, write, and present professionally, analyze, and interpret written and verbal communications in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Job-related experience
2. Forklift Operator license or ability to obtain one
3. Food Handler Permit or ability to obtain one
4. Spanish or other language proficiency, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare orders (e.g., pulling materials from stock, noting back orders, organizing truck, etc.) to meet delivery requirements
2. Drive vehicles to transport orders and materials (e.g., surplus items, tools and equipment, mail, lunch menus, etc.) to designated sites
3. Unload items to distribute shipment to assigned site locations and individuals, which may include assembling items (e.g., student desks, etc.) and/or delivering/serving food, which will require the driver to obtain a Food Handler's permit
4. Receive stock and non-stock items to ensure specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct
5. Stock equipment and supplies to maintain required inventory levels
6. Conduct physical inventories to verify stock and identify losses
7. Maintain vehicles to ensure safe operation of the vehicle
8. Perform minor repairs to equipment to maintain equipment and assist other personnel
9. Respond to inquiries from staff and vendors to provide information and direction regarding the status of deliveries
10. Collect funds from school sites (e.g., cash, checks, credit card authorizations, etc.) to complete transactions and deliver to bank and/or district office for deposit
11. Communicate with district personnel
to respond to calls and answer questions
12. Communicate effectively with diverse individuals and groups of people while maintaining confidentiality and building positive working relationships with employees and stakeholders
13. Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars, as assigned to gather information required to perform functions
14. Work under limited supervision, utilizing time-management and prioritization strategies, accurately processing detailed information, and meeting deadlines
15. Support a team environment by collaborating with own and other work units to effectively perform th duties of the position.
16. Adapt to changing work priorities and work with frequent interruptions, as required
17. Speak, read, write, analyze, understand, and follow written and verbal communication in English including grammar and punctuation; listen to, and understand information and ideas presented verbally or in writing
18. Able to roll, push, pull, bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 60 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally
19. Maintain regular and predictable attendance to fulfill job requirements efficiently and effectively
20. Other duties as assigned
EMPLOYEE SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 30 pounds, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 60% sitting, 10% walking, and 30% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
