Is this market ready? Will this message land? Our work spans primary and secondary research, quantitative and qualitative methods, and advanced statistical modeling. All in service of helping clients make high-stakes commercial decisions with confidence.

As an Associate Consultant, you'll work on multiple engagements simultaneously, developing both the analytical depth and client presence that define a successful consulting career at ZS.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and execute quantitative market research studies; including conjoint analysis, MaxDiff, segmentation, and discrete choice modeling to uncover what drives physician prescribing, patient adherence, and payer decision-making.
  • Build and apply advanced statistical models in R, SAS, and Python to translate complex survey and claims data into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Develop custom analyses and visualizations in Tableau, Excel, and Visual Basic to communicate findings that are both rigorous and executive-ready.
  • Synthesize primary and secondary research into cohesive insights narratives
  • Present findings to client teams and senior ZS stakeholders through crisp oral and written deliverables.
  • Synthesize and communicate results to clients and ZS teams through oral and written presentations.
  • Manage key workstreams on client engagements, serving as a trusted point of contact and keeping projects on track across research design, fieldwork, analysis, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with ZS practice teams across commercial strategy, medical affairs, and market access to ensure research insights connect to broader client decisions.
  • Guide and mentor junior Associates, sharing methodological expertise and modeling what excellent analytical thinking looks like.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's or master's degree required in any discipline with a strong record of academic success in quantitative and analytic coursework such as operations research, applied mathematics, management science, data science, statistics, econometrics, or engineering.
  • 3+ years of market research or quantitative analytics experience in or serving the life sciences / pharmaceutical industry.
  • Hands-on expertise with quantitative research methods: survey design, advanced choice modeling, segmentation, or statistical analysis of large datasets.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as R, SAS, Tableau, or Excel; comfort picking up new platforms quickly.
  • A track record of translating data-heavy analyses into clear, compelling stories for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management instincts; you keep workstreams organized, deadlines met, and stakeholders informed without being asked.
  • Intellectual curiosity about the pharmaceutical landscape: therapy areas, drug commercialization, competitive dynamics, and the patient journey.
  • Emotional intelligence and adaptability; you build trust easily, read the room in client settings, and adjust your approach as projects evolve.
  • Fluency in English
  • Client-first mentality
  • Intense work ethic
  • Collaborative spirit and problem-solving approach
