About the Opportunity

A lower middle-market private equity firm (representative of firms within our network) may seek a Deal Support Analyst to assist investment professionals throughout the transaction lifecycle, from initial screening through diligence, execution, and post-close support.

This role is designed for candidates at the beginning of their private equity careers, emphasizing analytical rigor, attention to detail, and hands-on exposure to live deal processes within a lean investment team.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Deal Execution & Analytical Support

  • Support transaction execution by assisting with financial analysis, deal modeling, and data validation

  • Help maintain and update operating, valuation, and transaction models under senior team guidance

  • Analyze key deal metrics including returns, leverage, sensitivities, and downside scenarios

  • Assist with screening and preliminary evaluation of potential investment opportunities

Due Diligence & Deal Coordination

  • Support diligence across financial, commercial, operational, and legal workstreams

  • Organize and review diligence materials, data room documents, and third-party reports

  • Analyze company performance, historical financials, KPIs, and unit economics

  • Track diligence progress and help coordinate timelines with advisors and internal teams

Investment Materials & Documentation

  • Assist in preparing investment memoranda, IC materials, and deal presentation decks

  • Compile and summarize analytical findings into clear, well-structured materials

  • Support senior team members in documenting risks, assumptions, and key value drivers

Portfolio & Post-Transaction Support

  • Assist with portfolio company reporting and performance tracking

  • Help update KPI dashboards and monthly/quarterly reporting packages

  • Provide analytical support for add-on acquisitions, refinancing efforts, and exit preparation

  • Support ad hoc analysis related to portfolio monitoring and transaction follow-ons
