Key Responsibilities
+ Review, check, and approve structural drawings, calculations, and technical documentation in accordance with applicable codes, industry standards, and project requirements.
+ Monitor engineering work to ensure compliance with client specifications, company standards, governing codes, safety practices, and project procedures.
+ Participate in and lead design and development planning and review sessions to align with customer and industry needs.
+ Prepare technical requisitions (TRs) for structural and mechanical systems and components.
+ Review vendor quotations and provide technical input to the procurement team.
+ Develop structural engineering deliverables, including general arrangements, connection and joint details, weld details, and structural calculations.
+ Prepare bulk Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs).
+ Apply creative and innovative solutions to optimize cost while managing impacts to quality, schedule, and performance.
+ Stay current on new developments, technologies, and regulatory requirements and recommend improvements to engineering programs and applications.
+ Execute assignments independently, make sound technical decisions and represent the organization in internal and external technical discussions.
+ Apply advanced engineering knowledge and experience to resolve complex or unique technical challenges.
+ Support manufacturing and plant operations during module fabrication and assembly.
+ Provide technical support during construction, including responding to RFIs and resolving field issues.
+ Attend job site visits, project meetings, and commissioning activities as required.
+ Serve as a technical interface with customers during design reviews and project meetings.
Structural Engineering Scope
+ Determine structural support methods, including brackets, fastening, bolting, and mounting of major components and equipment.
+ Perform or verify structural calculations for modules, skids, frames, platforms, walkways, and lifting devices in accordance with the project Design Basis.
+ Design and verify vessel and equipment supports, including lifting and handling considerations.
+ Coordinate with the Drafting Department to define critical beam locations, supports, and structural components.
+ Provide dimensional sketches and engineering instructions to support drafting and fabrication.
+ Prepare or review preliminary structural layouts and member sizing.
+ Develop and review project‑specific Design Basis documents based on applicable codes, client requirements, and approved exceptions.
+ Review as‑built drawings and re‑check calculations to confirm compliance and conformance.
+ Supervise and coordinate outsourced structural engineering work performed by third‑party engineering firms.
+ Advise project teams on the interpretation and application of industry codes and client specifications.
Qualifications & Education
+ Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
+ Professional Engineering (PE) license is strongly preferred.
Experience Requirements
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural design and engineering of equipment, preferably supporting data center infrastructure.
+ Strong experience with structural steel design for frames, skids, and modular equipment.
+ Demonstrated experience troubleshooting welded structures, including weld design and fabrication practices.
+ Ability to produce clear drawings, sketches, and calculations to support engineering concepts.
+ Experience with fast‑track design/build projects and large‑scale upgrade programs.
+ Direct experience working with regulatory authorities and obtaining design approvals and permits.
+ Working knowledge of data center construction, operation, and maintenance.

+ Bentley STAAD PRO (RISA considered but not preferred)
Working Knowledge
