Overview:   

 
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Data Steward 2 position will involve general data and document management, data integrity review, compliance, and reporting to facilitate the strategic resourcing of all capital projects within the Transmission Engineering capital portfolio and the Abandoned Vehicles, Encampments, and Dumpsites (AVED) program. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA.

 

Pay range: $38.73 - $55.33

 Data Steward Duties (90%): Perform manual data entry into relational database from electronic records.  Monitor centralized mail inbox and distribute communications accordingly.  Monitor the AVED incident list, and update with input from the Program Manager. Run and monitor reports from AVED incident list. Support the AVED Program Manager with locating and documenting precise locations of encampments/dumpsites on the SharePoint list using eGIS.  Assist TEBW organizations in the Project Web Application (PWA) , including training and/or assisting users on use of the PWA application.  Research missing data points and data quality issues in various electronic records locations to locate missing data or to correct inconsistencies.  Provide maintenance, track, and report for a variety of organizational databases; produce routine, management, and ad hoc reports as requested.  Coordinate reporting needs with TEBO Business Analysts.  Assist agency Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to draft, write, and recommend business data rules.  Provide input and recommendations for potential process / procedural improvements.   Assist the manager and staff to draft Standard Operating Procedures, governance, and internal control procedures as changes and processes occur; assist and promote implementation of  management-approved process and procedural changes.  Draft data dictionary by analyzing data, maintaining spreadsheet(s), and drafting procedural documents as requested.  Provide data management support to team members as requested by manager, which may include training and assisting with use of technology and disseminating procedural change information.  Create Tier III Manager monthly data compliance reporting communications.  Mark documents and maintain filing system(s), files, emails and records in accordance with compliance requirements. Share and disperse documents only to appropriate personnel (those with a Lawful Government Purpose (LGP) to know). Mark and maintain all official records in accordance with the Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Governance & Lifecycle Management (IGLM) standards and procedures. Validate official records are accurately maintained for auditing purposes.   Conduct an annual review and inventory of official files and maintain the organizational file outline  Administrative Duties (10%): Provide a wide variety of confidential administrative/clerical routine support to managers and/or management staff; serve as liaison/point of contact between staff and other work groups, facilitate communication and appropriate actions; and assist with the day-to-day operations.   Scheduling and attending meetings, preparing agendas and transcription.  Assist manager in a wide variety of personnel and other actions for BFTE and CFTE, such as assisting with preparing contract extension documentation; tracking, monitoring, and providing reminders of documentation and assignment deadlines; assisting with annual documentation requirements (e.g., telework agreements, driver's license verification); setting and coordinating interviews and escorting interviewees.  May coordinate or assist with organizational and agency events such as presentations, retirements, project or employee recognition celebrations.   Requirements:   

  Bachelor's degree in data management, data analytics, computer science, Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.  1 year of experience is required with a bachelor's degree in applicable fields.  3 years of experience is required with an associate's degree in applicable fields.   5 years of experience is required without a degree or appliable degree.  1 year of experience in data management, data analysis, or similar field is required.   Experience should include work in a technical environment involving data analysis or a similar field.  1 year of relevant work experience in administrative support functions.  1 year of experience in a technical environment involving data analysis or a similar field.  1 year of experience with Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote  1 year of experience analyzing and documenting large volumes of technical data.  1 year of experience storing, manipulating, and organizing large numbers of files and folders using Microsoft Windows networks or other document management programs.  1 year of experience with SharePoint data quality, management, and information governance.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, preferably Project Web Application.  General knowledge of electrical transmission technical terminology.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.   Work sponsorship is not available at this time.
