Job Description:
We are seeking a Data Scientist who is passionate about delivering high-impact, high-quality. In this role, you will drive insights that inform the strategy, with a focus on Player Care. You'll collaborate closely with the Player Care team to analyze support interactions, identify pain points, and recommend data-driven improvements to enhance player support experiences. You will also work with the broader data science team and cross-functional partners, actively contributing to business metrics reporting and integrating player care insights into key decision-making processes. Beyond your primary responsibilities supporting Player Care, you will also assist with other out-of-game player contact points (social media and consumer products). Specific responsibilities include making recommendations to optimize business performance and evaluating the impact of various programs and initiatives on critical metrics, including tying out of game activities to in-game metrics. The ideal
candidate will have experience with statistical analysis, data visualization tools, and strong communication skills to translate insights into actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Partner with Player Care team and PADI data engineering to turn our Player Care data into actionable insights.
* Identify key learnings from your analysis and synthesize them into recommendations for stakeholders.
* Work collaboratively with other PADI data scientists to incorporate support findings into relevant major analyses and franchise beats.
* Conduct data analysis as requested for stakeholder groups across Marketing and Consumer Products, including understanding ROI of out-of-game initiatives and optimizing for in-game metrics.
* Be self-driven and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data.
* Maintain dashboards in PowerBI that enable stakeholders to understand the business and supporting onboarding to other self-service tools
* Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques.
Qualifications:
* 5 years of experience in data analytics.
* 5 years of experience with SQL, bonus if familiar with SparkSQL, Databricks, or Azure Data Explorer.
* 2 years of experience with dashboarding tools, PowerBI preferred.
* Proficient in Python, bonus if familiar with PySpark.
* Able to work in a collaborative, diverse and fast-paced team.
* Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills and autonomy when faced with solving data problems.
* Excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills.
* Interest in games, bonus if experience in gaming industry.
* Local to Seattle area.
