ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Data Scientist - II (Associate) with a pharmaceutical company. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity with our client located in Rahway, NJ. This is a hybrid position.

Summary:
This role supports the Companion Diagnostics group by reviewing a high volume of biomarker datasets and quality assurance reports. The contractor will be responsible for identifying and resolving potential quality events by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data integrity for efficacy subgroup analyses.

Responsibilities:
  • Review high volumes of biomarker datasets and quality assurance reports
  • Analyze large datasets to identify potential quality events
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality events
  • Identify and resolve technical and operational problems
  • Explain difficult concepts and communicate information effectively
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or a related area of study
  • Minimum experience level: BS with 5+ years, MS with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year
  • Life sciences degree
  • Experience with quality assurance of large datasets (NGS/genomics/biomarkers preferred)
  • Capable of working independently and collaborating with various partners
  • Proficiency in Excel
Desired skills:
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Direct experience with biomarker data
  • Advanced Excel skills
Pay range: Up to $66.05 per Hour
