Immediate long term contract opportunity for Data Scientist/Analyst with direct client in Arlington, VA.

 

Trigyn's direct govt. client has an urgent long-term contract opportunity for Data Scientist in Arlington, VA (HYBRID- Flexible).

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience analyzing data to improve program performance.
• Experience working in a Govt. environment preferably public health agency or another human services environment.
• Experience working with any of the following programs: Microsoft Access, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in using Excel to design advanced data collection and analysis tools, and the ability to rapidly learn new reporting and analysis software.

Collaborative teamwork and communication are essential to the position, as is the ability to communicate complex data both verbally and in a variety of written and visual formats to a wide range of audiences.

• Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Data Science, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Health Informatics, or a related field (Substitution: Additional directly related qualifying experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Desirable:
• Bilingual, in English and Spanish will be a plus!

Responsibilities Include:

Data Analysis & Visualization:
• Ensure that data collection sources for the plan and its indicators are as appropriate, current, and verifiable as possible, and are well-documented for future use.
• Collect, clean, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data related to children and youth well-being.
• Create clear and compelling data visualizations to support decision-making and reporting.
• Support development of new data capture tools, visual dashboards, and data analysis processes to support future data-informed decision-making.

Data Organization:
• Maintain structured databases and spreadsheets for project-related information.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in data entry and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal quality assurance staff to ensure that access to data can be stored and accessed by other staff.

Community Engagement Coordination:
• Schedule engagement sessions with community members and stakeholders.
• Prepare agendas, materials, and logistics for engagement activities.
• Facilitate sessions, ensuring inclusive and productive discussions.

Reporting & Documentation:
• Summarize findings from engagement sessions and data analysis.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
