Data Architect (GCP & Analytics Lead)
Midwest Vision Partners is seeking a Data Architect to serve as the organization's "Data Owner," bridging the gap between 3rd-party managed applications (EHR, ERP, CRM) and our internal analytics stack (GCP, BigQuery, Looker). You are responsible for designing the "Source of Truth," ensuring data integrity, and enforcing architecture standards that protect patient privacy while empowering business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Strategy
Design and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) from 3rd-party vendors into Google BigQuery
Data Governance & Integrity
Define and enforce data quality standards
Own the "Golden Record" definitions to ensure consistency across all Looker dashboards
Analytics Engineering
Innovative management of the Look ML layer
Translate complex healthcare business logic into reusable, version-controlled code
Security & Compliance (HIPAA)
Implement and monitor IAM (Identity and Access Management) within GCP
Ensure all architecture adheres to strict patient data privacy regulations
Vendor Management
Serve as the primary technical liaison with software vendors to ensure API stability and reliable data extraction
Required Qualifications
Education
BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
Technical Stack
Experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and Looker (LookML certification highly preferred)
Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and other similar technologies is a plus
Experience
7+ years in Data Engineering/Architecture; 3+ years in Healthcare (HL7/FHIR experience is a strong plus)
Leadership
Proven ability to correct poor data practices and guide executive stakeholders toward scalable solutions
Compensation & Benefits
The annual compensation for this role is $140,000 – $170,000, plus a discretionary bonus. Base pay will be determined based on individual factors, including experience, qualifications, and relevant skills. It is uncommon for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the pay range.
