Job Title: System Administrator III – National Operations (ServiceNow)

Location: Canonsburg, PA (1500 Corporate Dr) – Hybrid (Mon/Fri WFH, Tue–Thu onsite)
Alternative Location: Pittsburgh, PA (possible)
Contract Length: 12 months (09/08/2025 – 09/04/2026)
Pay Rate (W2):$58/hr
Hours: 40 hours/week (no OT approved)
Travel: None

Position Overview

A leading telecom infrastructure organization is seeking a System Administrator III – ServiceNow (Operational focus) to support its National Operations / Small Cell team. This is not an IT Sys Admin role and not a ServiceNow developer role—instead, the focus is on ServiceNow administration, GIS-oriented operations, and process improvements.

The role is approximately 80% ServiceNow platform buildouts and administration and 20% business analyst responsibilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with a cross-functional, non-siloed team, contribute to ServiceNow system improvements, and support operational excellence in small cell infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the ServiceNow Service Management System (CMDB, Service Catalog, groups/user management, workflow design, custom applications, troubleshooting).

  • Participate in design, planning, and review of new operational applications.

  • Partner with business representatives to identify process improvements and develop solutions.

  • Collaborate with developers and SMEs to balance usability and performance requirements.

  • Provide training on ServiceNow functionality to the Network team.

  • Support QA testing, regression testing, and validation of development deliverables.

  • Write and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and feature communications.

  • Develop requirements specifications and flowcharts using clear and concise language.

  • Design and implement workflows, rules, and catalog items within ServiceNow.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow/operational software problems, documenting solutions.

  • Act as a technical contributor on front-end design and best practices.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform and operational support tools.


Required Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of technical/industry experience (telecom industry preferred).

  • 4+ years of ServiceNow Service Management System administration.

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Scripts, Script Includes, Flows, Catalog Items.

    • ServiceNow CMDB, Service Catalog, workflow building and editing.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and collaborative mindset.

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • CSA (Certified System Administrator) certification in ServiceNow.

  • Telecom industry operations background.

  • Experience with GIS-oriented operational support.
