Data Analyst (Logistics Risk) – Contract
Location: Santa Ana, CA 92707
Duration: 12+ Months (Extension based on performance)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Data Analyst – Logistics Risk to support the Risk Control team in analyzing operational data, identifying potential logistics risks, and driving process improvements. This role requires a strong blend of data analytics, logistics knowledge, and cross-functional communication within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze logistics and operations data (SAP, TMS, WMS, ERP, claims systems) to identify risk patterns, anomalies, and operational gaps.
- Evaluate lease management risk categories (physical, data, measurement, damage, data accuracy) and validate findings with operations teams.
- Review KPIs and operational reports to identify early-warning indicators or potential risk exposure.
- Conduct root cause analysis using quantitative methods and present insights to leadership.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, automated reports, and risk-tracking tools.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, validate business logic, and support compliance and audit activities.
- Translate complex data findings into clear recommendations and actionable improvements.
- Identify process issues and collaborate with teams to implement solutions and monitor effectiveness.
- Work with large datasets in Excel; build macros for reporting automation.
- Review operational performance trends related to loss, damage, delay, and service failures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics analytics, operations analytics, or supply chain data analysis.
- Strong experience in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, LOOKUP, data matching/comparisons, advanced functions, and Macros).
- Experience analyzing data from SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Hands-on experience with SQL; Power BI/Tableau preferred.
- Experience working with TMS/WMS or logistics operational data.
- Ability to interpret large datasets and extract key insights.
- Experience in fast-paced, corporate environments.
