Cutter Operator - Night Shift

Schedule: Night Shift | 5:00 PM 5:00 AM
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cutter Operator to set up, operate, and maintain cutting machines used in the production of high-quality pharmaceutical literature. This role works under general supervision and strictly adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate cutting machines according to job specifications
- Read and interpret job tickets to determine machine setup requirements
- Program computerized cutting equipment for individual production runs
- Measure printed sheets to ensure proper cut position for length, width, and flap alignment
- Inspect materials for print alignment, color accuracy, dry-up, and copy quality
- Cut paper accurately to job specifications
- Read, follow, and maintain the cutting schedule
- Perform routine machine lubrication and preventive maintenance
- Adjust or change cutting blades as needed
- Perform and/or verify area clearance procedures
- Inspect finished work for defects per SOPs and work instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with cGMP requirements
- Promote safety by maintaining a clean, organized work area and reporting unsafe conditions
- Comply with OSHA, environmental, and PPE requirements
- Train and guide other team members on equipment operation as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 months of related manufacturing or machine operation experience
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to read a ruler to 1/64th of an inch
- Ability to operate a forklift and roll truck
