Experienced Customer Service Rep - HEALTHCARE - Radiology Wanted

The Danbury hospital - Ridgefield Location - has a rare opportunity in the radiology outpatient team.  This is a full time 40 hour position Alternating shifts between 7:30am-6pm.  We need someone with AT LEAST 3 years of customer service experience within healthcare preferred. This is a union role and pay is based on full years of relevant experience.  Come talk to us about careers well cared for.

Summary:

Customer Service Representative 2 schedules, registers and receives patients according according to established policies and procedures, in a professional and courteous manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Schedules radiological exams in Soarian scheduling system according to established policies and procedures.
2. Registers patients in Invision, obtaining accurate demographic and financial information.
3. Verifies insurance benefits, scripts, pre-certification and authorization for services as necessary.
4. Performs reception and patient check-in functions, according to established policies and procedures.
5. Ensures work area is clean and well stocked, and office equipment is functioning properly.
6. Projects a positive and professional image exceeding Danbury Hospital behavioral competencies and department standards.
7. Adheres to Department standards for Service Excellence.
8. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT

Other Information:

Required: Alpha/numeric data entry required. Knowledge of computer systems.
Minimum Experience: three years
Desired: Invision, Cerner, Soarian, Document Imaging, PACS and Stentor systems. Knowledge of radiology exams, insurance.
