Provide service to bank customers by conducting appropriate transactions and meeting the needs of customers by referring them to appropriate departments in the bank.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a key ambassador of the bank, delivering exceptional service and representing the institution with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. As the first point of contact for many clients, you will create a welcoming, high-touch banking experience for a diverse clientele, including high-value and long-standing customers.
Provide outstanding front-line service by assisting clients with checking and savings deposits, verifying cash and endorsements, confirming identification for cash back, and issuing accurate deposit receipts.
Review deposited checks and determine proper funds availability in accordance with regulatory guidelines, issuing Hold Notices when required.
Process savings withdrawals and other routine transactions quickly and accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality and security standards.
Cash checks by verifying endorsements, confirming identification, and ensuring transaction validity.
Maintain vigilance and protect the bank and its clients by identifying potential counterfeit currency and irregular transactions.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients by answering questions regarding interest rates, service charges, and account activity while adhering to all disclosure requirements, regulatory standards, and privacy policies.
Assist clients with digital banking tools by processing ATM/debit card orders, check orders, and helping troubleshoot online and mobile banking access.
Perform routine account maintenance updates while ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank policies.
Provide a seamless client experience by referring customers to the appropriate department for more complex financial needs or specialized support.
Support branch operations by counting and rolling loose coins and managing cash inventory responsibly.
Buy and sell currency from the vault as needed while ensuring teller drawer limits and security procedures are maintained.
Balance teller drawer daily, including batching cashed checks and ensuring all transactions reconcile accurately.
In this role, you will combine precision, integrity, and relationship-focused service to ensure every client interaction reflects the banks commitment to excellence.
