Custom Truck Builder I at Subsite Electronics:

The Custom Truck Builder I, is responsible for modifying vehicles for the inspection and repair of underground pipe. Requires strong working knowledge of woodworking, basic electrical, basic plumbing and metalworking.

What Will You Do?

Depending upon the level of skills, experience, and expertise:

  • Create (or apprentice) in building, constructing, and installing laminated cabinets in vehicles.

  • Wire 12V/110V, including switches, receptacles, interior and exterior lighting.

  • Basic plumbing installation of water pumps sinks, tanks, etc.

  • Build and install framing, walls, etc. in a high detailed finish.

  • Install flooring, storage cabinets, air compressors, etc.

  • Follow building plans, blueprints, etc.

Note: The responsibilities and tasks outlined in this document are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the company.

What Do You Need?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Must be proficient with the following power tools, but not limited to:

    • Table saw, miter saw, band saw, jigsaw, circular saw, hack saw, etc.

    • Drill, router, drill press, various hand tools, etc.

    • Welder, horizontal band saw, etc.

  • Safety conscious with a willingness to learn our production operations.     

  • A team player that is dependable, reliable, and can deliver quality workmanship.

  • Have effective communication skills, follow written and verbal instructions, and work well with others.

  • Have a good work record of attendance, self-motivation, judgment, and productivity.

Work Environment:

  • Climate controlled manufacturing environment. Includes various levels of temperature, humidity, and noise, as well as hazardous materials, including adhesives, paint, solvents, solders, fluxes, and cleaners, etc.

  • PPE guidelines must be followed including safety glasses, safety toed shoes, metatarsal guards, etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Standing: Frequent

  • Sitting: Occasional

  • Walking: Frequent

  • Twisting: Occasional

  • Bending: Frequent

  • Squatting/Kneeling: Frequent

  • Pulling/Pushing: up to 50lbs

  • Floor to Knuckle: up to 70 lbs.

  • Knuckle to Shoulder: up to 35lbs

  • Shoulder to Overhead: up to 25lbs
