Culinary Services Manager

What You'll Do

As our Culinary Services Manager, you will:

Lead Our Culinary Program

• Oversee all kitchen operations and daily meal preparation
• Create appealing, nutritious menus tailored to residents' needs
• Prepare and coordinate meals for holidays and special events
• Support cooks and kitchen staff

Ensure Dietary Excellence

• Follow physician-ordered and nutritionist-recommended dietary guidelines
• Accommodate special diets including diabetic, low-sodium, texture-modified, and allergy-sensitive meals
• Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation

Maintain Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
• Monitor proper food storage, handling, and sanitation standards

Manage Budget & Purchasing

• Oversee food ordering and inventory management
• Operate within a designated culinary budget
• Ensure responsible and compliant purchasing practices

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in food service management (senior living or healthcare preferred)
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Experience with menu planning, food purchasing, and budgeting
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and modified diets
• Formal culinary education preferred
• A genuine passion for serving the elderly and physically disabled population
• Ability to remain calm, flexible, and professional in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, and lift as needed
• Ability to safely assist residents when necessary
