Client Company seeks a full-time Crew Chief to scope, lead, and support art handlers on complex projects primarily as they relate to offsite field service work. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, outstanding communication skills and excellent technical knowledge. They will have experience working in the field services and storage/collection management industry. The ideal candidate should be technically excellent as it applies to installing, packing, and moving a wide range of art objects. The Crew Chief will be comfortable communicating across areas of the business and with clients and will report directly to the Operations Supervisor. Crew Chief salary is $32.00 - $35.00 per hour.

Client Company also seeks an Art Handler/Driver to join its dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the art world, storage/collection management knowledge, and will be comfortable moving a wide range of art objects. The Art Handler/Driver will report to the Operations Supervisor. Art Handler/Driver salary is $28.00 - $32.00 per hour.

Hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm. Salary depends on experience. These in-person positions require on-site presence at Washington, DC facility five days a week with occasional requests to work nights and on weekends.

Crew Chief Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and mentor a team of highly skilled art handlers, including freelance or temporary workers on complex projects and day to day assignments.
Plan and oversee offsite installations and de-installations while maintaining strict inventory control and providing client assistance when needed
Oversee 3rd party contractors offsite including but not limited to craters, riggers, household movers, and fabricators
Conduct site visits to estimate labor, materials and equipment needed for successful completion of projects within budget
Focus on providing exceptional client service and satisfaction both internally and externally
Liaise between Clients, Accounts Management team and Operations team, providing timely feedback when required about specific projects and jobs
Ensure standardized best practices for installation and packing while working in conjunction with other Operations team members to ensure all handlers are well-trained and mentored in methods and materials
Provide feedback about the team to Management
Assist and collaborate with other technical managers and projects as necessary
Assist with training of the art handling staff when applicable
Work as an Art Handler/Driver as needed and when scheduled roles and responsibilities of an Art Handler/Driver are assumed for this role

Art Handler/Driver Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Proper handling of art objects, using the appropriate methods and materials for packaging, loading & securing for safe transport
Install/de-install artworks in-house or at offsite locations, often troubleshooting and utilizing critical thinking to solution scope changes
Preparation and careful execution of paperwork, including bills of lading, labels, driver logs, and detailed condition reports with accompanying photos if necessary
Receive and release shipments into warehouse facilities
Pack artworks for local, national and international transportation and storage
Maintain compliance with all local, state, DOT regulations
Support to internal teams, as needed
Weekend, overtime, and holiday work may be necessary; therefore, schedule flexibility is required
Other projects as assigned by Manager
