Credit Union Branch Teller Supervisor

Sparks Group is seeking an experienced and dependable Branch Teller Supervisor to support a well-established, mission-driven credit union. This role oversees daily teller line operations, ensuring efficient, accurate, and member-focused service. The Branch Teller Supervisor provides leadership, coaching, and operational oversight while maintaining compliance with all internal policies, accounting standards, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support teller staff in daily operations, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Ensure the teller line is prepared to open daily and that all equipment is functioning properly.
- Ensure all branch transactions balance at the end of each business day; assist staff in resolving discrepancies and authorize adjustments.
- Train new tellers and provide ongoing professional development and mentoring.
- Maintain compliance with all credit union policies, procedures, and federal regulations (including BSA, Reg CC, and Reg E).
- Support and instruct staff in proper reporting and recordkeeping for Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
- Handle complex or escalated member transactions with a high level of professionalism and service.
- Conduct cash audits, vault balancing, and teller drawer verifications.
- Manage currency and coin levels; oversee ordering, receiving, and tracking branch cash needs.
- Maintain accurate logs and supporting records for cash handling, deposits, and reconciliations.
- Reconcile items such as money orders, gift cards, and savings bonds, and assist with general ledger balancing tasks.
- Assist with operational reporting, reconciliation, and administrative recordkeeping.
- Promote credit union products and services by identifying member needs and referring appropriate solutions.
- Serve as backup to the Branch Manager when needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- High School diploma required; associate degree or relevant coursework preferred.
- Previous experience in cash management, teller operations, or financial services highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of teller or customer service experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of credit union or banking operations, compliance standards, and cash-handling procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Experience with the Symitar (or EPISYS) core banking system is a major plus.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accuracy.

Pay Range: Hourly $55,000.00 to $60,000.00
