Credit Manager

I’m looking for a seasoned Credit Manager who knows that managing risk is about more than just numbers—it's about strategy. We need a leader who can navigate the complexities of California Lien Laws while maintaining strong relationships with massive B2B accounts and "Big Box" retailers.

Location: Sun Valley, CA (91352)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire

Industry: Manufacturing / Construction Supply / concrete masonry products, including low carbon concrete masonry units (CMUs) / concrete block / pavers / Retaining Wall Units /Decorative Hardscape Products and Building Supplies.

Essential Functions:

• Evaluate and approve credit applications; set appropriate credit limits and terms
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and manage collection of past-due accounts
• Oversee issuance of preliminary notices, mechanics liens and material releases in accordance with the California laws.
• Develop and enforce credit policies
• Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing discrepancies
• Prepare reports as necessary
• Manage and train staff

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of credit management experience in manufacturing or construction industry
• Knowledge of California preliminary notice and mechanics lien laws
• Strong mathematical, analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
• Knowledge of the EDI process with big box retailers such as Home Depot and large-scale B2B accounts
• Experience with ERP systems and AR reporting tools
• Bachelor's Degree required
