Crane Operator for Scrap Yard

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes and other heavy machinery to lift, move, and stack scrap materials.
• Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure safety and functionality.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate operations and ensure efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Assist in sorting and processing scrap materials for recycling.
• Maintain accurate records of materials handled and equipment usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid crane operator certification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience operating cranes in a scrap yard or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
