We are a highly versatile team responsible for wood fabrication, pallet and crate production, facility maintenance, and general building support. Our mission is to ensure smooth operations by providing high-caliber craftsmanship and infrastructure support for our organization. The shop prioritizes woodworking and operational maintenance while leveraging maintenance management software to track, plan, and execute projects effectively.
Objectives of this Role:
- Provide hands-on support in wood fabrication and general building maintenance to meet division needs.
- Support organizational projects that require custom wood crates, pallets, and light carpentry work.
- Maintain building infrastructure, ensuring facilities remain functional, safe, and up-to-date.
- Utilize maintenance management software to ensure tasks are documented and completed efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with the team and across divisions to meet their needs, ensure quality, and support organizational success.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Build and repair wood pallets, custom crates, shelving, and other wood structures to meet division and organizational needs.
- Perform carpentry tasks such as door repairs and general woodworking projects.
- Conduct routine repairs, including flooring (concrete patching, VCT tiles, carpet tiles), ceiling tile replacements, and installation of fixtures like signs, paper towel dispensers, soap dispensers, and whiteboards.
- Support preventative maintenance tasks and respond to emergency repair needs in varying environments, including hot, cold, or humid conditions, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Utilize maintenance management tools to track tasks, manage work orders, log completed jobs, and monitor materials inventory to ensure efficient execution of maintenance schedules.
- Work in a team-oriented environment to support organizational goals, contribute to process improvements, and effectively communicate updates with management regarding ongoing projects and facility needs.
Requirements:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
- Shift work required.
- 1-5 years: Experience with woodworking, pallet/crate construction, and carpentry tasks.
- 1-5 years: Experience or familiarity with maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS systems).
- 1-5 years: Ability to perform basic facility maintenance and repairs (doors, signs, flooring, ceiling tiles, etc.).
- 1-5 years: Ability to work in diverse environments, including hot, cold, or humid conditions, and safely handle tools and materials.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.

- Intelligent Systems-Providing engineering services in resaerch and development of complex systems and equipment.
- Mechanical Engineering-Improving safety, reliability, efficiency and life of new or existing mechanical components or systems.
- Powertrain Engineering-Designing and developing vehicle and engine components to achieve performance and emissions goals.
- Space Science & Engineering-Developing and managing advanced scientific payloads aboard satellites and sounding rockets.
