You Will Be

• The Hospitality Ambassador: You are an introductory leader who sets the tone for the guest experience through proactive helpfulness and hospitality "first-and-last" touchpoints.
• The Support Specialist: You are the engine of the front-end floor, ensuring that groceries are handled with care and that the guest's transition from the store to their vehicle is seamless.
• A Safety Student: You lead by example in following safety rules, understanding that your role in keeping the foyer and parking lot clear is vital to store-wide safety.

What You Will Do

• Master Bagging Excellence: Provide professional bagging services, ensuring proper separation of perishables and the protection of fragile items.
• Practice Community Wayfinding: Provide legendary service by walking guests to products rather than just pointing, acting as a local guide for our neighbors.
• Maintain Storefront Pride: Execute meticulous cleaning of restrooms, the foyer, and the breakroom. Manage cart retrieval and "facing" shelves to ensure they look full and inviting.
• Strict Legal Compliance: Adhere to all Alaska Minor Labor Laws. You are strictly prohibited from operating cardboard balers, using heavy machinery, or handling tobacco products.
• Prioritize Safety Reporting: Immediately notify a supervisor of any personal injury or "near-miss" incident to ensure proper care and regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience: None required; we are a "Teaching Store" and will train the right attitude.
• Age Requirement: 14–17 Years Old.
• Certifications: Valid Alaska Worker Permit Required Depending on Age.
• Skills: Ability to maintain a friendly, helpful demeanor and strictly follow safety and legal regulations.

Physical Requirements & Environment

• Dynamic Mobility: Ability to move, traverse, and navigate all areas of the store, including the sales floor and outdoor parking lot in all weather conditions.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and maneuver equipment such as shopping carts.
• Sensory Awareness: Ability to hear and respond to customer inquiries, overhead pages, and equipment safety alarms.

Pay Transparency

• Pay Range: $13.00 - 14.00 hourly. Starting rates vary based on experience and current operational needs.
• Overtime: Not applicable; schedules are strictly managed per legal minor labor limits.
