Cost Accountant

- Perform inventory accounting activities, including subledger-to-general ledger reconciliations
- Support cost accounting functions, including cost analysis and inventory variance analysis
- Analyze inventory transactions and ensure accurate valuation in accordance with GAAP
- Extract, manipulate, and analyze data from the ERP system to support accounting and operational needs
- Prepare and maintain detailed Excel-based reports using pivot tables, formulas, and conditional logic
- Partner cross-functionally with operations and other teams to support inventory and cost-related initiatives
- Assist with additional accounting projects and reporting needs as assigned
Requirements:
- 3+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or heavy distribution environment
- Strong inventory accounting experience, including subledger to general ledger reconciliations
- Hands-on exposure to cost accounting and/or inventory variance analysis
- Meaningful ERP system experience with the ability to independently pull and manipulate data
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and conditional formulas
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability and willingness to work in-office five days per week in Sarasota
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
