Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Senior Accountant II to join our corporate accounting team in Logan, Utah. This role is a key contributor to our accounting operations, responsible for managing complex reconciliations, journal entries, and subledger maintenance across multiple entities. The Corporate Senior Accountant II will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial records while working independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated accounting professional to take ownership of meaningful work and grow with a company in the food manufacturing and agriculture industry.
Corporate Senior Accountant II Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations across all accounts and resolve variances in a timely manner
- Maintain and reconcile subledgers for accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, and long-term debt to the general ledger
- Review and adjust inventory costing to ensure accurate valuation
- Analyze aged receivables and maintain the allowance for doubtful accounts
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries for prepaids, accruals, leases, and depreciation
- Manage intercompany and related party transactions, including management fees and lease allocations across multiple entities
- Support month-end close activities and maintain accurate accounting records across all balance sheet accounts
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Other duties as assigned
QualificationsQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required, CPA designation a plus
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with financial reporting and analysis
- Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or distribution environments preferred
- Proficient in ERP systems and accounting software; experience with AgTech or similar platforms a plus
- Cost accounting experience required, including inventory costing and reconciliation
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and entities
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Advanced Excel skills required.
