We are seeking an experienced Permanent Corporate Legal Secretary to join our dynamic team. This role will provide an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to showcase their skills in a fast-paced corporate environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the legal industry, with a particular focus on corporate law. They will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including preparing closing binders, assisting with mergers and acquisitions, and filing documents. With a commitment to excellence and a meticulous eye for detail, the Corporate Legal Secretary will play a crucial role in our team's operations.
Responsibilities:
As a Corporate Legal Secretary, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Preparing, editing, and formatting legal documents, including closing binders.
2. Assisting with mergers and acquisitions, including preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with various parties.
3. Filing and organizing legal documents in an efficient and systematic manner.
4. Conducting legal research and preparing reports as required.
5. Handling confidential information with discretion and maintaining client confidentiality at all times.
6. Coordinating and scheduling meetings, appointments, and deadlines.
7. Liaising with clients, attorneys, and other staff to ensure smooth communication and prompt resolution of legal matters.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Corporate Legal Secretary role will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a corporate legal secretary within a law firm environment.
2. Proficiency in preparing closing binders and other legal documents.
3. Experience assisting attorneys with mergers and acquisitions.
4. Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminologies, and document formatting.
5. Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple deadlines.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.
8. High level of discretion and confidentiality.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Paralegal certification or relevant degree is preferred but not essential.
