We are seeking an experienced Corporate Attorney to support a construction company by managing and reviewing legal documents and contracts. This role will focus on mitigating risk, ensuring compliance, and supporting business operations through sound legal guidance related to construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Draft, review, and negotiate construction-related contracts, including vendor, subcontractor, service, and confidentiality agreements
· Provide legal guidance on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management matters
· Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, obligations, and legal exposure
· Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
· Support dispute resolution efforts and coordinate with outside counsel as needed
· Maintain and manage contract records and legal documentation
Qualifications:
· Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
· Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction
· 3+ years of experience in corporate law, construction law, or commercial contracts
· Strong experience drafting and negotiating contracts
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience:
· In-house counsel experience within a construction, real estate, or engineering environment
· Familiarity with construction regulations, insurance provisions, and risk allocation
