Job Details

Seeking a highly motivated 5+ year Corporate Associate to join the team at New England's premier law firm for tech and emerging companies.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience advising startups and emerging growth companies, handling complex corporate transactions, and supporting mergers and acquisitions. This role is client-facing and requires strong business development and marketing acumen, as well as the ability to serve as a trusted legal and strategic advisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise startups, founders, and growth-stage companies on a broad range of corporate matters, including entity formation, governance, financings, and ongoing operational needs
  • Lead and support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions from due diligence through closing
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of corporate and commercial agreements
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships
  • Collaborate with internal teams and practice groups to deliver comprehensive legal solutions
  • Actively participate in business development initiatives, including client pitches, networking, thought leadership, and marketing

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice and in good standing in Massachusetts (or eligible for admission)
  • 5+ years of corporate law experience, preferably in a law firm setting
  • Extensive experience working with startups, emerging companies, and founders
  • Demonstrated experience with M&A transactions and complex corporate matters
  • Strong client-facing skills with a proven ability to manage and grow client relationships
  • Business development and marketing experience, with an interest in practice growth
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
