Position: Corporate Athletic Trainer

Location: Newark, DE 19702

Pay: $35/hr.

Contract: ASAP - 06/22/2026 (Possible Temp. to Hire) 

Setting: Primary / Occupational health employee clinic

Schedule: 

• Mon - Fri: 11 pm - 07:30 am

• Schedule may vary, but will remain a Night shift role

Overview: Seeking an Athletic Trainer to support an on-site employee health program focused on injury prevention and musculoskeletal wellness. This role provides direct care to employees while implementing early intervention strategies, ergonomic assessments, and injury prevention initiatives within an industrial healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an early intervention program consisting of performing musculoskeletal examination, providing first aid per OSHA standards, and education on injury prevention

• Perform physical demand and ergonomic assessments to identify high-risk tasks and recommend preventive strategies

• Lead group and individual training on functional movement, job simulation, and injury prevention programs

• Collaborate with on-site medical and safety teams to coordinate care and recommend workplace countermeasures

• Document assessments, recommendations, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner

• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date record

• Participate in meetings and task forces

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field

• Active Athletic Trainer certification and state licensure (or eligibility)

• Current CPR/AED certification

• Experience performing musculoskeletal assessments and injury prevention programs

• Ability to work independently in an onsite occupational health setting
