The Core Manager is responsible for optimizing parts cost and minimizing lost revenue through the management & analysis of core - the heart of the remanufacturing business. This position will work closely with all areas of the business to optimize core utilization to improve Material Usage Variance and maintain optimal core inventory levels for the financials of the company.  This position reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Manages supplier and customer relationships to promote 1 to 1 usage and sales to optimize core inventory and improve the financial impact. 
  • Manages Core management service provider to accomplish key performance indicators including cost savings and strategy to increase profits. 
  • Forecast core Cost of Goods for inventory planning to hit budget numbers through utilization, sales, and scrap.
  • Responsible for sub core and guaranteeing the items codes are linked appropriately in the BOM and manufacturing systems.
  • Partner work with sourcing and engineering to launch core that has been in reclass more than 12 months.
  • Monitor and recommend acceptable market core values that promote returns and maintain balance sheet expectations.
  • Supervise core technician to provide professional growth and development in a challenging, competitive environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in data mining, analysis and reporting in a manufacturing setting
  • APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) certification preferred
  • Proven project management ability
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of supply chain processes and overall impact to the organization
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing
  • Advanced skills in use of MS Excel required and ERP systems (Syteline preferred)
  • Occasional travel, as required
