Job Title: Cook
Location: Georgia Regional Hospital Savannah
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner for meal service periods
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, grills, steamers, and fryers
- Assist with menu planning and portion control as needed
- Coordinate with food service staff to ensure smooth meal service
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen work area
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and health department regulations
Requirements
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of cooking experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, healthcare facility, or similar setting
- Knowledge of food safety principles and proper cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- ServSafe certification preferred but not required (training available)
- Must be available to work Monday – Friday as scheduled
