Job Description
Schedule
4:00am - 12:30pm or until job is complete, days worked are Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.
Part-time position, must be available to work weekends/Sundays
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:.
Perform routine kitchen tasks.
Follow the prep list created to plan duties.
Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
Strictly adhere to our Quality Assurance guidelines.
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Qualifications
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
Able to read in English and mix recipes for food service items.
Basic math skills - addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions
Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
Able to use kitchen equipment as necessary in preparation of food service items.
High organizational skills with extreme attention to detail
Able to read a thermometer correctly and accurately.
Able to accurately count and weigh all incoming product and compare to order sheet; notify supervisor of any discrepancies.
Must check product(s) to ensure quality of food product (i.e.: freshness, color, shape, temperature, and proper size specifications)
Must be able to accurately store, label, and date all incoming food product to insure maximum shelf life.
Able to work independently without supervision.
Able read, write, communicate, and work well with others
Must be able to work Sundays
